Movie: Forrest Gump

And yes good things do come to those who wait :P
We decided to share something we felt it should be shared!
We, the editors, has been to this program in our school , ngee ann poly, called dialogue in the dark.

A little insight : We are lead by visually impaired guides into an completely/total darkness area (it's freaking huge! which also contains scenes *no spoilers* go experience it yourself) where we experience how the blind 'see' in the dark. Not only that you get eat in the dark as well ( mind you it's not an easy task!)...overall it's been an awesome experience for all of us!

To get more information go to http://www.np.edu.sg/DID/Pages/default.aspx ! It is definitely worth going and although they have a disability....but they chose to accept it and display it in such an awesome way. In that dark room aren't we the ones being 'disabled' *hehe*

But that's not the main point of today's post , we're going to introduce a movie that also some-what relates to a disability person as well T_T which make the disabled worthy of our respect!

The movie is  Forrest Gump (although old but still enriching!)
The Disabled Plot!
Forrest Gump is a 1994 American epic romantic comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Tom HanksRobin WrightGary Sinise and Sally Field. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a naïve and slow-witted yet athletically prodigious

Stupid is as stupid does," says Forrest Gump (played by Tom Hanks in an Oscar-winning performance) as he discusses his relative level of intelligence with a stranger while waiting for a bus.  He talks about his life experiences to strangers that passby while waiting for that bus ( the purpose revealed later as to why he was there ) .

And we are shown/thrown into his flash-back and learned about Forrest as he makes his pilgrim's progress from the '50s to the '80s, becomes a college football star, a Vietnam war hero, a shrimp tycoon and even a father.

The ending is emotional and yet at the same thing relate-able all the more you should see this movie !

A man with a low I.Q. has accomplished great things in his life and been present during significant historic events - in each case, far exceeding what anyone imagined he could do. "Forrest Gump" is the story of a man who rose above his challenges, and who proved that determination, courage, and love are more important than ability.

See how awesome those disabled people are ?

The next time you came across a disabled people , a word of appreciation/or even a simple greeting/helping hand might cheer them up instead of ignoring/judging them! i say they are the most bravest souls i seen , to continue living with hopes and dreams despite being born like this :3

Emotional TRAILERS has arrived :P
